
Rabi Kinnagi presented us with the great Benagli film hero DEV who is the new hope of Kolkata Tollywood Cinema industry paired with the beautiful bengali actress PAYEL SARKAR in 2007 in I LOVE YOU (get DVD). I Love You was a big hit, and the story was "based" on the 1989 Salman Khan-Bhagyasree Bollywood blockbuster MAINE PYAR KIYA (get DVD).
DEV and PAYEL will appear together again in an upcoming 2010 Bengali movie - RAJ CHAKRABORTY is making the film LE CHAKKA with them as the lead pair, in which DEV will actually play a cricket player.
The star cast also has Anindyo Banerjee, Rudranil Ghosh, Kanchan Mullick, Ritwick Bhattacharya, Kharaj Mukherjee, Partha and others.
Le Chakka has a release date of June 11, 2010.

There is nothing original in either the song or the visuals. Dev and Payel attempt at some smart dance moves, including break, with ridiculous and hilarious results. The first thing that will come to your mind when you listen to the riffs of the song is "Mrs Robinson" by Paul and Art, quickly followed by riffs from many other American classics which no avid classic rock music fan will fail to identify.
Le Chakka will probably become a box-office hit, because modern young Bengalis are often lacking in depth of preferences and meaningful exposure to other cultures which are the ones that are original.
