According to reports, Kaniyan Poongundranar - the famous Tamil Poet - wrote in a poem "Yaadhum Oore, Yavarum Kelir", which may have inspired the title of the Tamil movie directed by K S Ravikumar and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin / Red Giant Movies. The Tamil film has Kamal Hasaan and Trishna in lead roles, with music by Kamal Hasan and Sarika's daughter Shruti Hasan.

Shruti Hasaan previously composed the music score for the Tamil blockbuster Unnaipol Oruvan (2009) also starring her father.
