Synopsis: “ROAD TO SANGAM (CONFLUENCE)”

A simple story of a God fearing, devout Muslim mechanic named Hashmat Ullah (Paresh Rawal) who has been entrusted the job of repairing an old V8 ford engine, not knowing the historic significance that it once carried the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi which were immersed in the holy river ‘Sangam’.

He is caught in a complex situation after a powerful bomb explosion rocks his town leading to the arrest of innocent Muslim youths of his locality. A strike to work is called by the prominent Leaders (Om Puri) (Pavan Mallhotra) of his community to protest against the unjust treatment meted out to those arrested youths by the police.

Will he support the protest and abandon the repair of the engine or go against the wishes of his community.

Thus begins his journey. A journey of Gandhian values and principles. A journey of patriotism. A journey called “ROAD TO SANGAM (CONFLUENCE)”.

Une histoire simple d'une peur de Dieu, le mécanicien Musulman dévot appelé Hashmat Ullah (Paresh Rawal) qui a été confié l'emploi de réparer un vieux moteur de gué V8, n'en sachant pas la signification historique qu'il a une fois porté les cendres de Mahatma Gandhi qui ont été plongés dans le fleuve saint “Sangam”

Il est attrapé dans une situation complexe après qu'une explosion de bombe puissante balance sa ville causant l'arrestation de jeunes gens Musulmans innocents de sa localité. Une grève pour travailler est appelée par les Chefs proéminents (Om Puri) (Pavan Mallhotra) de sa communauté pour protester contre le traitement injuste infligé à ces jeunes gens arrêtés par la police.

Va faire il soutenir la protestation et abandonner la réparation du moteur ou aller contre les vœux de sa communauté.
