Aladdin - the Indian Bollywood Hindi film - is scheduled for a release date of October 30, 2009.

Director Sujoy Ghosh (Jhankar Beats) gives a Bollywood musical twist to the wonderfully timeless fable of Aladdin and the genie. The star cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Juhi Chawla, Sameera Reddy and others. Aladin is billed as a "Modern reimagining of the classic tale of Aladdin and the Magic Lamp."

A young man named Aladin Chatterjee (Riteish Deshmukh) is given a lamp by Jasmine (Jacqueline Fernandez) that releases the genie named Genius (Amitabh Bachchan). Another genie-turned magician Ringmaster (Sanjay Dutt) makes matters serious by attempting to kill Aladin, thus forcing Genius into serious challenges.
