As you know by now, debutant director Anusha Rizvi's film Peepli Live - produced by Aamir Khan - has been selected for the prestigious Sundance Festival that celebrates independent movie making.
Rizvi’s directorial debut—about farmer’s suicides in India will be screened at the prestigious Sundance Festival in Salt Lake City, USA ... Rizvi says her film is more about the divide between rural and urban India than farmers’ suicides. She has used dastangos (Urdu storytellers who perform on stage) and actors from village theatre as actors
There seems to be a little town named Pipali in Dausa, Rajasthan - is the movie set in that location ?
